Know Before You Go:
1. Comfortable Clothing: It’s best to wear light, comfy clothes and sturdy walking shoes. You’ll be moving around a lot, walking through cities, exploring the mountains, and visiting the desert, so dress for comfort.
2. Monkeys in the Forest: In the Cedar Forest, you might spot monkeys. It’s okay to offer them food, but don’t get too close or try to touch them—they can get scared easily.
3. Desert Temperatures: The desert is hot during the day and can be quite cold at night. Pack layers, so you can stay warm in the evenings and cool during the day.
4. Bring Some Cash: Many smaller shops, markets, and cafes don’t accept cards, so it’s good to have cash for buying snacks, souvenirs, and meals.
5. Camel Ride Tips: Riding a camel in the Sahara is a unique experience, but it can be a little bumpy. Hold on tightly, enjoy the ride, and don’t worry if it feels a bit shaky at first.
6. Protect Yourself from the Sun: The sun is strong, especially in desert areas. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to avoid sunburn and stay comfortable in the heat.
7. Drink Lots of Water: Always carry a water bottle and keep hydrated, especially on hot days. It’s easy to get dehydrated when exploring under the sun.
8. Take Plenty of Photos: There are so many beautiful sights—from the blue streets of Chefchaouen to the golden dunes of the desert. Make sure to bring your camera or phone to capture all the memories.
9. Local Vendors: You will find local sellers offering handmade crafts and souvenirs. If you don’t want to buy anything, a friendly “no, thank you” usually does the trick.
10. Limited ATMs: ATMs can be hard to find in small villages and rural areas. It’s best to bring enough cash for meals, tips, and any shopping you might want to do during the tour.
Accommodation Options: Luxury Vs Standard
1. Desert Camps:
In the Merzouga Desert, you can choose a Standard Camp with simple Berber tents and shared bathrooms. It’s basic, but you’ll enjoy dinner and breakfast under the starry sky. For more comfort, you can pick a Luxury Camp with private tents, bathrooms, and electricity for a more comfortable stay.
2. Riads/Hotels:
In places like Chefchaouen, Fes, and Boumalne Dades, you’ll stay in Standard Riads/Hotels with clean, simple rooms in a traditional Moroccan style. If you want more comfort, you can choose Luxury Riads/Hotels with modern touches like air conditioning, and some even have pools. Meals are included in both options during your stay.
Note: If these camps or hotels are fully booked, we will arrange other comfortable and nice places for you to stay. We’ll make sure you still have a great experience in Morocco, with good accommodations that fit the style of the tour. Your comfort and enjoyment are our priority.
