Itinerary of the Morocco Tour From Fes 10 Days:

Day 1: Fes Day Sightseeing

On the first day, we will explore Fes, one of Morocco’s oldest and most famous cities. We will visit the Royal Palace and walk through the ancient Medina, a big market full of narrow streets. You’ll see the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud), a beautiful entrance to the old city.

Inside the Medina, we’ll visit the Al Quaraouiyine University, the oldest in the world, and the Tanneries, where people traditionally make leather. We will also stop at the Bou Inania Madrasa, an old school known for its stunning architecture.

Later, we’ll explore the Jewish Quarter (Mellah) and head to a hilltop to get a great view of the city. After a full day, we’ll return to the riad for a relaxing evening.

Day 2: Fes → Ifrane → Cedar Forest → Midelt → Ziz valley → Merzouga Desert

On the second day, we’ll leave Fes and drive towards the Merzouga Desert. Our first stop will be in Ifrane, a pretty town known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” because of its clean streets and European-style houses. Then, we’ll visit Cedar Forest, where you can see monkeys and enjoy feeding them.

After that, we’ll pass through the town of Midelt and drive along the beautiful Ziz Valley, with its palm trees and stunning views. 

In the afternoon, we’ll arrive in the Merzouga Desert. Here, you’ll ride camels over the dunes of Erg Chebbi and enjoy a beautiful sunset before spending the night in a desert luxury camp under the stars and enjoying berber dinner and music.

Day 3: Full Day to Explore Sahara Desert (Erg Chebbi → Nomads → Khamlia "Gnaoua" → M'ifis Mines → Merzouga Lake → Palm Grove Forest)

On the third day, we’ll spend the whole day exploring the Sahara Desert around Merzouga. First, we’ll visit a group of nomads who live in traditional tents, and you’ll get to see how they live in the desert. Then, we’ll go to the small village of Khamlia, where you can listen to the special Gnaoua music played by the local people who originally came from Africa.

Next, we’ll visit the old M’ifis Mines, which are no longer in use but are interesting to see. After that, we’ll stop by the Merzouga Lake, which sometimes fills with water and attracts birds. 

Finally, we’ll take a walk through the palm grove near the desert before returning to our camp or hotel for the night.

Day 4: Merzouga Desert → Rissani → Todra Gorge → Boumalne Dades

We’ll start the day by leaving the Merzouga Desert and visiting the town of Rissani, which is famous for its traditional market. It’s a great place to see local life, especially on market days, where people sell all kinds of goods, from spices to clothes.

After Rissani, we’ll drive to the impressive Todra Gorge. This canyon has very tall red cliffs, and you’ll have time to walk through it. The area is popular for hiking and rock climbing.

Later, we’ll continue our journey to Boumalne Dades, passing through small villages along the way. We’ll arrive at the Dades Valley, known for its unique rock formations, where we’ll stay the night in a local riad.

Day 5: Boumalne dades → Ait benhaddou → High Atals Mounains → Telouat kasbah → Marrakech

After enjoying your breakfast we’ll start our trip from Boumalne Dades and head toward the famous Ait Benhaddou, a historic village made of mud-brick buildings. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage site and has been featured in many movies like “Gladiator, babel, the mummy…”

After visiting Ait Benhaddou, we’ll continue driving through the High Atlas Mountains. The road offers stunning views of the mountains and valleys. Along the way, we will stop at the Telouet Kasbah, an old castle that was once an important home for the local rulers.

In the afternoon, we’ll arrive in Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most famous cities. Here, you can relax and get ready to explore this lively city the next day.

Day 6: Marrakech sightseeing tour

On the sixth day, we will explore the exciting city of Marrakech. We’ll start by visiting the Bahia Palace, a beautiful palace with amazing gardens and decorated rooms. Then, we’ll head to the Saadian Tombs, where some of Morocco’s old rulers are buried.

Next, we’ll visit the famous Jemaa el-Fna square, the heart of Marrakech, where you can see street performers, food stalls, and local markets. We’ll also see the big Koutoubia Mosque, which is the largest mosque in Marrakech, and the beautiful Majorelle Garden, a peaceful place filled with colorful plants and flowers.

Day 10: Chefchouaen → Casablanca

After enjoying Chefchaouen, we’ll start our drive back to Casablanca. Along the way, we’ll pass through the scenic Rif Mountains and small villages, giving you one last view of Morocco’s countryside.
